The era of bonus cash is coming to an end at our humble resort. We will be joining the 21st century sometime next month and switch over to an automatic free play system that is automatically added to player's cards. I'm actually kind of sad to see the bonus cash go away though... for two reasons, one it set us apart from other casinos and gave us something to compete on (hey, you don't want to play slots, that's fine, take your bonus cash and spend it wherever you want, slots, tables, keno, poker, the restaurants, hell, take it and walk out of the resort with it, we don't care, you've earned it with your play), and of course the second reason is that I learned how to take major advantage of it (our current system can't tell the difference between you gambling with your bonus cash or your own cash, and the only rule is that your coin in must exceed your bonus cash, I gamble 5 days a week, only gamble $5 of my own money, $1 a day, the rest is my bonus cash, and it still looks like I'm a damned good player for the house

Oh well, at least we won't now have the lines of people who just want to pick up bonus cash, or having to two or three times a shift switch out cash drawers when we run out of money, or ever having arguments over ID requirements, or ever getting asked "when are you going to start doing free play" ever again.
