    This is not going into Sucky Customers because the customer was not in the least sucky. Unfortunately, her problem was something that I could do nothing about.

    She had bought some of our (edible) products. She carried it home in one of our (heavy paper) bags. The bag, alas, wasn't heavy enough to fend off the downpour when the clouds opened when she was halfway home ... she was walking, by the way. So her goodies were completed waterlogged.

    I think she was hoping for a replacement. Unfortunately, I'm very low on the totem pole and all I could do was tell her that Boss Lady will be in during the next three days, so if she's back in the mall during that time, drop by and tell BL what happened and MAYBE she can do something.

    Sorry, lady, but I don't think that's covered anywhere on our returns policy ...

    Yeah, once it's off store property--heck, once it's paid for--I don't see what you can do. You aren't responsible for the rain, after all...
