I despise taxi companies

Just a quickie, from just now. Guest called for a cab at 8:15am to get to the airport, so I called the company for them to schedule it. Upon finally reaching someone, we go through the conversation of our address, pickup time, guest name/room number, and so on. As I type this, I realize she never got my phone number, but maybe they have caller ID.

As the call finishes, she says "we'll have someone out there as soon as possible" and hangs up on me.

/facepalm

I just know that a taxi is going to roll up here at 3am looking for this person...thankfully they can't call the room without going through me, so I can intercept them. I'm just waiting for them to roll up so I can call a different company that I hate just as much, and hope they don't fuck this up too.

Here the hotels have an internetbased application on their computer where they can write all details. Then the computer at the company automatically send a cab at the right time, or so it goes most of the time .
