  • So I busted out crying at work

So I was working on a very tedious IT project. Removing the electrical guts and platters from old hard drives so we could easily recycle the aluminum. Along with verifying complete destruction of the platters themselves.

So I was listening to an audio book as I worked.

The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman.

The last couple of chapters, not going to spoil it for anyone but was for a good hour afterwards. So everyone was thinking someone died. So for the next week I had to be like "No, No I was listening to a very sad part of a book"

It's ok. I cry at everything, even commercials that aren't meant to be cried at.

Haven't read that one...but a CW lent me "Marley and Me" to read during my shifts once. I had to go into the back office so guests walking by wouldn't see me bawling my eyes out when I got to the ending.
