Customers Suck is a website devoted to those who face customers in all forms.  Over time, it developed into a community of people who had shared experiences and could sympathise or laugh at the inanity of working with people.

We have a selection of our tales on these front pages, so feel free to cry, goggle, or laugh out loud at the inhumanity of customer to CSR.  We also have a forum - click on the link to the left and feel free to join in.

Customers Suck is owned and operated by Rapscallion.  The moderators give up their time to keep the board running smoothly.  The site is run without revenue from adverts or subscriptions.

The site is free to all intents and purposes, and it's open to all to view, as long as you are willing to behave with respect for your fellow visitors.  The main pages are where the stories are kept, but the real action is in the forum and chat room.  We have standards we wish to maintain, and we will do just that.  If you're willing to play nice, we'll keep the sandpit nice for you.

We're here so the oppressed can vent and celebrate.  We're not here for people to debate or argue with each others.  We have our purpose and will remain true to it.  Some customers suck, and this is where we talk about them.

Hold on, we just said 'some'...

That's right.  Not all customers suck.  The very philosophy of this site is that not all customers are evil and should be treated with contempt.  We even have a section of the forum for praising customers who go out of their way to help workers deal with their life.

We're here for the minority who make themselve noticeable by acting ... suckily.  There is a huge mass of people who are barely noticeable because they act as normal human beings, but others commit acts of weapon-grade stupidity or cruelty that stun even the most hardened CSR.  That's why we're here.  Be they cheating the system, stealing, scamming, dumber than a bagful of spanners, entitlement-minded, or the most loathsome creature to have set foot in sunlight and still survived, this is where we gather to speak of their foulness.

This is customerssuck.com.  While there are customers like that, this place will exist.

“Just some guy”

A member for several years, ‘Raps’ as he is fondly referred to, bought the site early in 2006.

Known for his sharp wit and intelligence, and for his easy-going manner, Rapscallion always has a great story to share. His “furry manboobs” line is one of the CustomersSuck! classic tales. If you’re a newbie, ask anyone who has been here for any length of time.

Despite being born in the early years of Queen Victoria's reign, Raps is a man often let down by his socks.  Known to his colleagues as a workaholic and 'that guy in the fridge wearing shorts and a Hawaian shirt', he's got a decade of experience in retail behind him and now plies his trade in retail.

Make no mistake, though - he has a fun and fuzzy exterior, but beneath it is a core of pure bastard that is only seen on rare occasions.  Malfeasants beware.

“Gingerbred Admin”

Although a relative newcomer to CustomersSuck!, ‘gbm,’ the usual title we give him, has proven himself time and again to be an invaluable member of the site. His expertise was crucial in making the site more secure - he's the technical wizard who knows the answers to such questions as 'how does this work and why?'.

He always has the best interests of the site at heart. While negotiations for the sale of the site were underway after a hack, gbm set up a temporary site on his own domain, and kept things running until the new site was ready. He also operates the CS Photo Album.

Not a prolific poster at CustomersSuck!, gbm85 posts when he has something to say, but he is often sitting behind the scenes keeping a watchful eye, and will not hesitate to step in when the occasion merits.

MadMike

“Heavy Metal Admin”

Mike has been around CustomersSuck! for a long time. He has always been known by his avatar.

Mike isn’t easily flustered, and has an easy-going manner, but he can and will kick butt and hand out consequences if a member crosses the line. Mike works behind the scenes as well, making sure that all the little ‘bells and whistles’ at CustomersSuck! are in working order.

He is very approachable, and any member can feel confident that PM’ing Mike with a problem will result in an answer.

THE MODERATORS

Ace of Diamonds

“Misanthropic Moderator”

Another ‘long-timer’ here at CustomersSuck!, Ace is known for his intelligent and insightful posts.
He has shared some great stories over the years, especially those based around his career in the jewelry trade..

He is another of the ‘not so visible mods,’ who manages to balance a very busy life with keeping order on the site when the occasion merits. He has a keen but very dry wit, and is a fountain of knowledge on many of the subjects discussed on the forums of CustomersSuck!

Ace is also a great source of advice about the workings of the site, since he has been around the place long enough to have been a key member in the formation of the Customerssuck! that we all know and love.

Barefootgirl

“Barefoot Mod”

One of the newer mods, Barefootgirl is intelligent and perceptive. She always has a practical way of looking at things.

Rounding out the “Brit’ side of the mod team, Barefootgirl has been a well-respected member of CustomersSuck! for a while now. She has always shared some great stories with us, and has always been a class act here on the site. That’s probably what made her a natural choice for moderator.

Barefootgirl is always willing to respond to any questions from any members via PM.

DGoddess

“Den Mother”

As her title suggests, DGoddess is the Den Mother of CustomersSuck! She has been hanging around the halls of CustomersSuck! for a few years now, so she knows what makes the place tick.

She loves her kitties, and always has some great pictures to share. She also has some hilarious tales from her workplace. She has a quick wit and can find the humor in the most daunting of situations.

Don’t let the deliciously wicked sense of humor fool you, though. She takes no nonsense from anyone. Her calm but forceful manner keeps the members in line and prevents the silliness from getting out of hand.

KuzcoLlama

“The Mod Alpaca”

Another newcomer to the mod team, Kuzco has been around for a while, and has always been a popular member of the ‘CustomersSuck! family’.

Kuzco has a wacky sense of humor, and has shared some great stories over the years. She is intelligent and knowledgeable about keeping order on an internet forum such as this. Any member to have been on the receiving end of Kuzco’s moderation can tell you that she is always polite but firm in her actions.

She is always eager to respond to PM’s from the members if they have questions about the site.

Luna

“Wild Witch Mod”

Luna has been a member at CustomersSuck! for several years as well. She has a very busy off-site life, but she always manages to sneak in for a peek.

She is another ‘Kitty Mommy’ and she also has some adorable pictures of her little family that she shares with us from time to time. She has some wonderfully classic tales of customer service that still come to our minds when we think of CustomersSuck!.

Luna is intelligent and insightful, and always has constructive advice to offer our members. She is always gracious and classy in her moderating style.

NightAngel

“Hot Coffee Mod”

Probably one of our most active ‘newbie’ mods, NightAngel has been a member at CustomersSuck! for a while, but was only recently promoted to moderator status.

NightAngel is known for her strong defense of family and child, and her intelligent posts. She has some wonderful tales from behind the counter at a video store.

She keeps a very close eye on the workings of the site, and doesn’t hesitate to step in if she sees anything amiss. Members can confidently PM NightAngel, knowing that she will assist them in every way.

Protege

Another of our quiet but efficient mods, protege has been around almost since the beginning and has always been a key part of the foundation of the CustomersSuck! that we all know today.

Protege is one of the nicest guys a person could ever know. He and his wacky sense of humor can often found in chat in the evenings.

He is very loyal to the site and its members, and although he isn’t online and visible as much as a few of the other mods, he will not hesitate to start swinging at the first sign of trouble by trolls and spammers.

Ree

“CS's Official Greeter”

Ree has been a member at CS for about 5 years.

Members have sort of adopted her as their mother figure. She has been known as a ‘sounding board’ and sympathetic shoulder.
In fact, at one time, her member name was “AuntieRee.”

Known for her fierce protectiveness of the site, its members, and her friends, any member can rest assured that she will do her best to right any wrongs committed against them, to the benefit of the site.

Spiffy McMoron

“Historically Inaccurate Mod”

As you can tell by his name, Spiffy has a wonderful sense of humor.

Spiffy has shared some great stories with us during his time at CustomersSuck!
One of his tales even made the War Stories section. He is a staunch and loyal fan of his beloved Calgary Flames hockey team.

His work schedule, and his Canadian time zone mean that he doesn’t get on the site during the peak posting hours, but Spiffy always manages to catch some of the action and doesn’t hesitate to step in. He is very open and honest and eager to help in any way he can.
