My Main Job is right across the street from Mom's nursing home. I work at MJ four days a week. Two of those days I go across the street to enjoy
institutional cooking with Mom. The other two days I walk to a little coffee place a few blocks away for a sandwich or soup.
A few weeks ago I found a wallet on the ground. The only ID was a high school ID from a school I'd never heard of (not much of a surprise, as I have no kids). I emailed the school and asked if they could get it back to the owner. They said yes and a few days later I drove it to the school, dropped it off, and felt relieved that the situation had been taken care of so expeditiously.
Tonight I come home and check my email. There is an email from the wallet's owner, a very nicely written thank-you note, with an offer to return the favour if at all possible. He says he is quite good with electronics so if I need any help or work on anything electronic, he will be happy to oblige. (The email was slightly delayed because in his first attempt, he mis-typed my email address.)

To say I was dumbfounded is quite the understatement. I hadn't expected anything in return, and certainly not a reward. Now I'm frantically trying to think of something electronic that he can advise me on or fix.
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
And the next time somebody bitches about how awful today's kids are, I'm going to smack them into the next time zone.
