WWE released Shane McMahon! I don't think this is a work.

The story (allegedly) is that he tried to change a bunch of stuff during writing and producing of the Royal Rumble, and Vince (and apparently many backstage) wasn't happy about it.

By what I've seen, it's legit. Shane-O seems to think that cuz his dad's in charge of WWE, that means he can change things around to suit himself.

I used to enjoy Shane's antics, but lately I've grown indifferent to him. Don't really care if they showed him the door.

Yeah, that's kind of how I read it, too. Seems he wanted the Rumble to center around him (I wonder if he wanted to win it??), and something having to do with switching around Bad Bunny's number multiple times or something.

I wonder if he's gonna show up in AEW.

I've been thinking about this a bit...I wonder if this is maybe, possibly a "worked shoot"?

From what I've been seeing, the plan was Shane vs Rollins at Mania, which are now out the window. I doubt that Shane wanted to win the Rumble-- and that would have turned me off completely-- but wanted more focus, perhaps.

One of my roommates hated that Bad Bunny was in the Rumble and got an elimination, but I just shrugged and said, "Gotta set up that celebrity match at Mania somehow."

If Shane shows up in AEW, that'd be mind-blowing, but I doubt it's happening.
