It is VERY windy here today. Trees being uprooted windy.
SC is at the drive up teller window. We put in one of those canisters used in our drive through tube system. We have used our own friendly weight that has a message to use it to weigh down papers, and we have a bar in the drawer that one puts their papers under...so they don't blow away.

People often risk it, don't weigh them down, and end up angry with the tellers...but I digress.

Oh and we have to leave the canister open, because people have struggled with opening it.

Me: *send out drawer to customer who's window doesn't work and is opening their door* We are having everyone use that canister so that papers don't blow away today.
SC: *scoffs* WHY DON'T YOU USE A ROCK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!
Me: Well, that's what we have ( thinking why would we like being like everyone else, when people won't even use our regular paper weight!!! bitch)
SC: *angrily puts papers in canister in car*
Me: Thanks *do and finish transaction* Thank you have a good day *send out canister and drawer
SC: *angrily takes canister into car, takes papers, and THROWS the canister into the drawer hard.

If this is the worst thing in your life, you got it good. To react like that?!

Well, clearly she's mad at you over the weather. The windstorm is all your doing. You knew she was coming to the bank today, and you knew that she would be stressed out with worry over her papers blowing away, so you arranged to have the wind blow extra hard just to cause her problems. I'm surprised she didn't report you to the bank manager or the national weather service or something. [/sarcasm]

Yeah, that's an overreaction, all right. At least she was taking out her frustrations on an inanimate object?

Well, of course you are a) in total control of the weather and b) work for a company that would actually want her personal information blasted all over the parking lot, because nothing makes everyone else in line happier than delays in the cue.

I'm just sitting blinking at this one. You only use rocks if it's a nice, smoothly polished one.. that will walk off with a customer sometime during the day. Never fails.

My bank has an ATM that is in a high wind area. It is not uncommon to see where people asked for a receipt, but it wound up blowing away before they could get it. The downwind area would be covered with the stupid things. I'd love to see customers use a rock for that
If I make no sense, I apologize. I'm constantly interrupted by an actual toddler.

I have always stuck any papers under that bar... it's what it's for... If the wind is so strong that you needed to use a canister, why get mad because it's not a rock? I mean, obviously they get mad because they are insane, but serious. That SC was probably mad because her door didn't work, and the canister was ever so SLIGHTLY harder to deal with than a rock.

I also think it's funny that people are having a hard time opening the canister. Unless they have issues with their hands or fingers (arthritis or something) it's not really complicated.

I don't get it. I don't even remember if I've ever encountered anything but a canister, but I could have. It's just not even significant enough to register with me and yet this woman was angry? It wasn't about the banking at all. She was mad about something else, clearly.
