i have to admit, i jumped the gun on this woman. it was 20 mins before closing, and she was the only one in the store, in the dressing room. normally, we close the dressing rooms at 15 of to clean them. the person who normally made that announcement had failed to, and i didn't get on the intercom. i went to the door and informed her that we normally closed the dressing rooms at 15 of. she said "well you're just gonna have to wait...i'm in here now." she got out of the dressing room at 10 of, and brought her stuff to the register. by 5 of, she was gone; our last customer. i looked in the dressing room, expecting a disaster. there was not a single piece of clothing there. i was stunned. maybe i'd misjudged her. anyways, sometimes sc's can turn normal if we give them a chance.

mod's if this should be moved, feel free.

A little rude yes, but the clean fitting room took out a chunk of the suck factor.

I thought I was going to have one today.

He was a bit gruff, and a bit demanding that I get something shipped out immediately.

After talking to him a bit, he calmed down and told me that he was a "bad grandparent" for forgetting to call us earlier, and that his grandson's birthday was on Sunday. He then apologized for the inconvenience, and said whatever we could do would be good.

After I hung up, I walked his order out and had it shipped immediately.

A little bit can go a long way, and I try to remember that.
Oh yeah? Well I have a few words for you! Like YOU, and ARE, and A MORON!!!!

I think she more than redeemed herself for the rude comment.

I don't actually think her comment was rude at all.

If I were in a dressing room at 15 minutes to close and knew I would be gone in 10 minutes, I'd feel pretty affronted if someone came and told me that they "normally close the dressing rooms by now", while I was half naked.

            I see no suck.

She tricked you. All the clothing you expected to be there was in her bag. She got away with it because you were focused on closing and going home.

I must remember this tactic on my next shoplifting expedition.

umm...obviously gerund was kidding, hence the

otherwise i see no suck. maybe she was a bit miffed and got short with you, but as has been said, she redeemed herself by getting out when you closed. maybe she can teach our customers to GTFO after announcements.

If she'd said, "Thanks for letting me know, I'll be as quick as I can." She'd have been the perfect customer. It was just her tone that made her a little bit sucky and made the OP expect the worst, which proved not to be the case.

I agree; she was kind of bitchy. And I don't really see how not being a slob "redeemed" her. If she'd said she was sorry that she was snippy earlier, sure.
But I don't think baseline behavior counts as a "postive" per se. More of an expected outcome. (In theory, not in practice.)
Excuse me, good sir paladin, can you direct me to your EVIL district?

The sort-of SC should have had some common sense. Store closes at 10, but goes in the dressing room 15 min. till. What if the clothes didn't fit and she decides she had to go get another size? It would take her longer. So at least she knows that the dressing room closes at least 15 min. till. She would suck if knowing that, she goes out and gets more clothes and goes back in.

I don't think there would be a polite way to tell some one the dressing room is closed. Most people woudn't think 2x that a CSR comes in and says "oh, the dressing room is suppose to be closed at this time." They will leave. I think the woman thought she was entitled to take her time (though she did leave early enough).

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.
