a woman comes up to the register with a .79 cent item, which is half off, and wants to know how much it would cost altogether. i tell her "with tax, 43 cents." she starts rattling off a shitload of foreign words, and i get the "deer in the headlights" look. my cw, who spoke their language, got it resolved and told them exactly what i had said, but clarified it for them. i dont know what i would have done if he hadnt been there. i wish i could have seen my face at that moment.
