  • "I know the site rules forbid this..."

There's always that 'but' straight after. We don't want to see this. If you know something is against the site rules, don't post it!
Much appreciated. The unhappy stick will be far less abraded if we follow this simple concept.

We're getting quite a few people saying, "I'll stop before this gets to Fratching material, but..." and then saying anyway, or enough to start a fight. I figured I'd bump this thread, since it's pertinent.

I don't have an ulcer, and I'd prefer not to have one. Please?

      Bumpity bump!

Had a few cases recently, so I figured it best to remind everyone that it's bedtime we have certain policies in place and saying that it's for Fratching and then launching into a condensed version of what you want to say anyway is a touch awkward.

I'm bumping this thread because some of our members seem to have forgotten. We had to delete a post we found in the queue that with "Not to go into Fratching territory, but (insert Fratching-type comment)", and edit another one that said something to the effect of "My opinions on (Fratching-type subject) belong on Fratching, so I'll just say this." The latter may seem harmless, and may in fact be borderline at worst, but there's always someone who's going to try to take a comment like that and run with it.

Seriously people, if you know it belongs on Fratching, why even bring it up on here? We have a whole other board just for that.

OK, it looks like this one is overdue for a bump. It's one thing when people break the rules unintentionally. It's quite another when people say, "I know this belongs on Fratching, but I'm going to say it anyway."

                  Seriously people, knock it off!

                      Bumpity bump bump....

Guys, if you are even considering starting a thread with "This may belong on Fratching," take it there. Save us all some time. If you have a relevant response to a subject here that you feel belongs on Fratching, just say exactly that, and reference the title of the associated Fratching.com thread without saying anything else over here.

If you are seriously considering "I know this belongs on Fratching, but..." --- then there is no but. That's pretty clearly admitting that you know damn well that you're breaking the rules. This does not in any way grant you a "Get Out of Jail Free" card, if you catch my drift.
