So a lady came through my lane and she had an extra cart with her that had clothes in it. She said, "This is the stuff I didn't want". She then parks it right in the middle of the lane, completely blocking my entire lane. The next guests come up and are standing there wondering why there's a cart sitting there blocking their way, and they can't get through. I hand the lady her change and she glances at the cart and says, "Well, I guess it's kinda in the way..." and then strolls off.

I'd have moved that cart out of the way myself . . . whether she was standing there or not.
If she were standing there, I'd smile and sweetly say "Excuse me" while I moved it and let the other customers past.
That would have been a more effective way of getting the point across while not being rude (at least on the surface.)Human Resources - the adult version of "I'm telling Mom." - Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo (NCIS)
