  • Well, how about MOVING the cart, then?

So a lady came through my lane and she had an extra cart with her that had clothes in it. She said, "This is the stuff I didn't want". She then parks it right in the middle of the lane, completely blocking my entire lane. The next guests come up and are standing there wondering why there's a cart sitting there blocking their way, and they can't get through. I hand the lady her change and she glances at the cart and says, "Well, I guess it's kinda in the way..." and then strolls off.

    That is all.
Low lie the Fields of Athenry/ Where once we watched the small free birds fly/ Our love was on the wing/ we had dreams and songs to sing/ It's so lonely around the Fields of Athenry

          Because that would make sense.

And it would require her to think about , not just the employees of the store, but also her fellow customers.

And that's really hard to do when the world revolves around you.

I'd have moved that cart out of the way myself . . . whether she was standing there or not.

If she were standing there, I'd smile and sweetly say "Excuse me" while I moved it and let the other customers past.

That would have been a more effective way of getting the point across while not being rude (at least on the surface.)
