The Super-Ultra-SC from Hell (Long)

On 2nd thought - I think I posted too much detail of this one so I've cut the bulk of it out. There was lots more, but the worst thing about this customer is she bragged to one of my fellow managers that she rang ahead to one of the local restaurants to order a particular steak, but when she got there they didn't have it, so her first phone call was to her lawyer, she sued the restaurant and the young girl who took her order. This is where it gets mega-super-ultra-sucky - she then bragged that the young girl committed suicide before it went to court, and she took credit for it. This b*tch was actually proud of the fact that she indirectly killed someone.

The woman actually said "The customer is always right, and I will make life hell for anyone who doesn't observe that".

When J (fellow manager) got off the phone and he was obviously shaken. He was like "we'll just give her ...". A $200 product vs the sh*t she could cause. It sucks but he is probably right.

You should pass her name around town. If she really does have a reputation for being a bitch at just about every business she deals with, any business should be justified in refusing service to her.

What an absolutely vile EW. The post says 'young girl', if this woman (God forbid) has children how would she feel about someone causing her that much stress, leading her to taking her life early, only for some bitch to brag about it?

Will this be her last purchase? I really hope so. Like SuperB said, a movement by businesses that they will not tolerate her particular brand of inhuman shit may lead to some change.

Well isn't it against the law to purposely drive some one to suicide? Did she pull the trigger or force the girl to swallow pills or something? No, but she did have an effect on the girl's life. To me it's the same as murder. I wouldn't be surprised if the family of the girl sues that woman for criminal neglegence or something to that effect. Of course this is if this lady's story is actually true. Either way she's a damn bitch and I hope that karma come around pretty soon and pretty big for her.

I sincerely hope that part of her story is BS. Assuming it is BS, what sort of person would make that sort of a claim?

She was clearly trying to intimidate our manager into giving into her, and made other claims about taking legal action against other local businesses and individuals who work for them, who hadn't given in to her demands, and at least one stacks up with other information that I knew - 1 was a former client of ours who was bankrupted by legal fees from a case he was defending. This information wasn't public knowledge, and the fact that she claimed to have bankrupted him through the legal system stacks up. So sadly, I believe there may be an element of truth to her other story.

There is a lot more to the story of this SC, and I suspect that there will be a lot more to come.

I sincerely hope she has over-embellished it. Personally, if I did something that caused someone else to suicide - I'd be pretty cut up about it, and I sure as hell wouldn't brag about it. I just can't imagine what sort of person could be so cold and callous that they would more or less say - "I legally pushed someone until they killed themself, and if you don't give me $200 worth of product, I'll try to do the same to you". Even if this story is complete and utter BS, even if there never was a girl, steak or court case - even if it is 100% fabricated, what sort of person would say something like that to try to screw a business of $200?

She revealed she has a dossier on me - petty little things I had done to her in the past (such as not giving her as much discount as she wanted, not doing a price match with a competitor after I called them and found the claim was bogus). She is obviously a petty and sad individual to record all this type of stuff - she has dates and times recorded of when I have done these things. Somehow I suspect there is going to be a lot more to this customer, which is why I decided to trim my original post.
