  • It sure is different having bosses that appreciate you

A few might recall that last year I was fired from Target. I worked there for nearly two years before they pulled me aside one day and told me that I had recieved five guest complaints in one day (all of these, whether real or not, were full of bullshit, btw). The most ridiculous of these complaints was that I politely informed a guest that my lane was closed when my light was off and it was time to go home. Said guest got upset and complained. These bogus complaints continued until they sacked me. A month later I got a new job at the store next door. While it's just another low-paying, mindless job that I hate, what amazes me is the difference between the bosses' attitudes towards me. Here at my current store, I have never been in trouble. The only thing was a little report they had to fill because I was two minutes late punching in for my break, which the boss said was no big deal at all, and I have never repeated it. They have let me know numerous times that they are so happy that I'm there, and how much they appreciate what I do. I recieve reports from the managers that I am dependable, do a "phenomenal job" and always do what is asked and more. I have never heard word of a single customer complaint. Amazing, isn't it? I guess I'm not the terrible employee that Target thought I was.
