  • Student intentionally electrocutes himself then sues teacher

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...rning-him.html

For not explaining to him that playing with electricity can hurt you.

Student - with assistance from a friend - had both of his nipples attached to a power cord via clamps.

Then they plugged it into the outlet.

he's claiming that he suffered brain damage from the incident
and that it's the teacher's fault for not warning him that it was dangerous.

the lawsuit claims that the teacher told him to do it and offered him a soda if he did.
yet... the student himself has stated that the dare came from another student and not the teacher.

Me thinks the kid had brain damage before the incident.

You have to have had the cheese slide off your cracker to do something that stupid.

"Not warning him it was dangerous"?! Good lord. I highly doubt the teacher had anything to do with his going through with the stunt.

Methinks we'll be seeing this as a Darwin honorable mention at some point...

On a related note, some moron on another forum of mine used AED paddles on himself to "see what it felt like".

I'm with Blas on that one . . .that due not only had the cheese slid off his cracker, but the dog already ate it before he did this stupid stunt.

It turns out the teacher had a class with the students where a small charge was sent through a ring of 30 or so kids. Something my same science class went through. He had told the kids then that the outlets were protected to cause cause deadly surges. Because of this idiot boy the teacher has resigned from his position.

Methinks the kid didn't pay attention in class.

I'd say the kid didn't pay attention for the past 18 years and was just stupid lucky to get this far without killing himself.

I did that experiment in science class....kinda cool. My teacher knew exactly what he was doing (and explained to us that under no circumstances should we try it as a party trick).

I hope that teacher can appeal.

You know, if this idiot wants to file frivolous lawsuits, they should be against the equally intelligent friends of his.

Of course, that's not where the money is. Especially if either or both of the others are at least 18 themselves, and tapping into parents' assests is not a legal option.

                          Jump charge my moobs?

                          I don't think so.

Just the thought of putting those toothy clamps on the nipples makes me shudder....

The guy is an idiot and the teacher should sue him.

It's a "electrical trade" class!! which means, the kid would know the basics concerning electricity and the human body!!!

I am so sick of idiots blaming others for their mistakes. People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions.
