  • It was so sad

So this thread isn't to argue about whether you like wrestling or if you think its real or fake,I don't want to talk about it. I was deeply saddened by what I seen on a TNA wrestling pay per view last week. So this wrestler Jeff hardy is known as having a long term drug problem. He cleans himself up and then falls right back off the wagon. Well he has a ongoing drug case against him. Something along the lines of he was caught being shipped thousands of pills. On the PPV they are stalling this match, they talk about it and show super long promos about it, and then we find out why. Jeff hardy comes out and he is wasted out of his mind and he can barely stand. He starts staring into the camera and singing along with his song. He literally stumbles and falls to the ring, and when he gets there he falls off the stairs of the ring.
After a few mins the ref gives the X symbol with his arms, which means that there is a "real" problem and the head honchos need to come out. And then sting comes out and you can tell, he is pissed. So he should be, hes a 20year or more veteran. So then the guy in charge comes out and for like 5 mins he is whispering to sting and then Jeff hardy and then back and forth. And then the match starts, it is 10 seconds long and sting literally holds down Jeff hardy. I mean really JH is fighting to get up.
So after the match the crowd is throwing shit and chanting fucking bullshit. And sting screams I agree. JH just kinda crawls backstage. I was so pissed why would they let this happen, JH could have killed someone. Its just so sad to seesomeone with so much talent screw themselves. And so far JH hasn't been on TV since then.

I agree it is sad, the Hardy boys used to be awesome back when they were in WWE (WWF? I have no clue, I used to watch wrestling with the guys in college, you can carbon date me by saying I liked Kane when he wore his mask and set things on fire) and it's a shame that Jeff has gotten himself back up out of his problems only to fall right back down again, in front of a camera no less. The producers (guys that run the show?) probably didn't know how bad he was or where he was, hence the stalling, until it was too late for a quick change up in the story - since aren't the PPVs events being broadcast live right than and there?

Hope he realizes that there is help if he's willing to take it and keep at it and that there might not be another chance. That next time just might be a moment of silence in his memory. =( Still, by the articles looks like there's more to the story. -shrugs-
Okay everyone, lets all point and laugh at him right about....

    Now.

You think him recently getting married and having a new baby would maybe make him re-think his ways. I just hope he gets the help he needs.

Here's the irony in all this:

Hardy's next court date is April 20. (Source)

I'll just let that sink in......
