Jester's wonderful post about his sister made me realize that miracles don't happen all on their own.

For those of you not in the Texas area, you might not be aware but we are having a wildfire very near the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds; the Faire site is being used as a Command and Evacuation Site, but there is still a LOT of damage already done and that could be done -

This is my "prayer" request - We need the Rain down in Plantersville to help stop the spread of this fire - so rain dance, break-dance to the gods, pray, do whatever and hope that we get rain soon.

You got it. I didn't realize the fires were so close to there. A friend of mine is on their way home from Texas now after spending Scarby season there. Here's hoping for enough rain to put out the fires asap.

the TRF Facebook is adding news updates frequently; it looks like its getting worse.... so far just a lot of property damage - hope it stays that way ....

37 years of building up that land and it could all be gone in a few hours.... Please Pray for Rain!

**UPDATE**

Well it started raining in Austin around 1am; and there is rain down in the Houston area this morning

the TRF Facebook page is reporting rain in the areas that were affected by wildfires, so now we just need it to last a little while, and soak into the ground.
