    PUPPIES!!!! Not ours (well, kinda..)

    My wife got an owner of a really sweet working line malinois female to agree to a breeding with Zorro (show lines). They got the confirmation, Ouija (the femals) is pregnant!

    She's coming here August 10th to whelp the litter which is expected to be born around the 18th.

    Edit: Yes, we are planning on having the puppy cam up after they're born and settled as well as MANY pictures.

    Edit: Puppies were born. Here is a chart for their weights (in ounces)- it will be updated when I can update it.

      Part of the deal is that we get pick of the litter and 50% off the second pick. The pick is going to a friend of ours and the second pic may go to my wife's sister.

      These two will be considered our "D" litter.

          My wife is going to ask the mother's owner (she's the one who took her in today for the ultrasound). There are at least 3-4 puppies in there.

              The clock is ticking. Pollux is in a prospective new home and doing *extremely* well. Ouija (the mom) is coming here early next week and we're setting up the puppy area this weekend.

              I think she's due next weekend.

                Ouija is coming over tonight. Apparently she is **VERY** pregnant. Either a lot of big puppies or a hell of a lot of regular puppies.

                    Oohhh, I hope she has the puppies soon. I'd much rather study with the puppy cam to watch!

                      Her due date is around the 18th of August.

                        X-rays were done today, at least 9 puppies in there.

                        They should be due between the 18th and 20th.

                            Kiri's last litter was 11 (x ray shows 12, possibly 13 or 14, though)

                            2 were stillborn (sadly)
                            One died the day he was born.
                            One died a few days later.

                            The good news is that the remaining 7 are *very* healthy.

                            Malinois are very hearty and rugged and Ouija is being fed a very healthy diet, access to water, and has constant medical attention either though my wife or the vet (checkups).
