I was reading all of the Bat-books, but stopped when Batman Inc. started. My Bat-tattoo got sad when that started.

Read alot of Walking Dead, but have fallen behind recently. May start up again by picking up the trades and omnibuses (omnibi?). Every once in a while I remember to pick up copies of The Boys (because who doesn't like to read a comic with a super-powered police force staring a Simon-Pegg-alike, and, hey Garth Ennis). The Boys isn't quite as brilliant as Preacher was, but still a great read.

Recently discovered Hack/Slash, and have already ordered the first two omnibus editions so I can get all caught up. Perfect mix between heartfelt emotion, gore, and b-movie cliches. Also, Robert Kirkman showed up in that one, which was awesome.

As for Webcomics - I used to read Girl Genius, but got way behind. Now that I'm working, I regularly read Questionable Content, Something Positive, and Sam and Fuzzy, with some others thrown in now and again.

I actually want to become a more avid comic reader again, but most of the big names don't do it for me anymore, and I don't think I'm Indie enough to know some of the better indie comics. Anyone got any suggestions on that front?

Youi know, I used to read The Boys because I'm a big Garth Ennis fan, but after reading Preacher, it just didn't do it for me. It was pretty good, granted, but Preacher kind of ruins you.

That can be taken many ways considering it's an Ennis book. But I know what you mean, that's why I pick them up when I think of it - it's just not important enough to make sure I get it every time.

I do kinda wanna get back into Manga, but it'd have to be something real special for me to shell out cash for collections of it. I do need to finish my Akira collection, as well as reading the actual story, of course, and I think I'd like to get Ouran High School Host Club, cause I think that's ongoing and I adored the anime.

Online: Girl Genius and The Noob (on the rare occasions it updates). Most of my favorites have either concluded (Phoenix Requiem) or gone on indefinate hiatus (Brathalla).

Comic Store: The Flash (reading the various Flashpoint series right now), Booster Gold from DC, a few non-mainstream titles (Kato) here and there, and Thor (Marvel).

Not sure how long I'm going to stick with the relaunch of DC. To tell you the truth, I'm really not liking where Flashpoint is taking DC. If the new Superman is the same kid from Project Superman, then I'm totally put off. I canNOT see how a kid so badly abused can turn into a hero like Superman.

And they've turned Wonder Woman into a total bitch, and Aquaman into a worse dick than he was when his hand was chopped off (actually he was fairly interesting then, but the current incarnation, he's just turning into a despot and a mass murderer).

And DC without Wally West? Boring. Barry Allen is BOR-ing! What he's doing in Flashpoint is interesting for now, but out of the tights he is dull, dull, dull. I'm hoping they've figured a way to keep Bart Allen in the picture; he's interesting but he need the right writer.

They may be trying to recapture the, frankly, amazingly written Kingdom Come there. I think they tried to do the same thing with Final Crisis, but to be honest, I'm still not entirely certain what that series was actually about.

I have a few editions of the Dark-Hunters manga, and am eagerly awaiting my copies of the first volumes of Sailor Moon and Codename: Sailor V. Mostly, though, I read webcomics:

Spinnerette is one hell of a fun webcomic for those of us who like our superhero action lighthearted. Just be sure to start from the beginning.

I agree Kingdom Come was awesome. But it was also stand alone, not part of the mainstream continuity.

Flashpoint is a reshaping of the DC Universe. I don't think they're going to recapture Kingdom Come. They're just turning characters who were awesome heroes into villains.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman, right now, IMHO are villains. They're tearing the world apart in a war where neither side is on the side of angels.

Most of the heroes currently existing are hardly worthy of the name: they would not come together to fight for their own world unless Batman got involved (which he wouldn't), and are suspicious of one another, and fractious.

I'm not liking where the DC Universe is heading.

I read a lot of comics on the Internet. I read most of the comics in the Washington Post. I have also been getting the Lucky Luke graphic novels as they become available in English.

Best way to describe flashpoint is what if the silver age of comics never began. Its an alternate timeline/universe, but its not. I actually did like the batman mini though. OTOH, i have been reading Thunderbolts ("Oh my god, a Giant-size Man-Thing"), X-factor (peter david could just write a scene of paint drying and make it interesting).
