  • Things My Daughter Asked Me For Today

I'm a bit blown away by this, but today I must've looked like Genie or something! Today she asked if she could get:

    1. Jaguar cub
    2. Spiderman dress (I have no idea either.)
    3. Four cats
    4. Tiger cub (since, y'know, jaguar was okay'd)
    5. Fox kit (what's with the exotic animals?!)
    6. Power Wheels Jeep
    7. 'Pretty necklace' (ruby pendant she spotted at a store, was like $400)
    8. Big TV (72" TV. Good tastes.)
    9. 'Sledhammer' (Sledgehammer. She says she wants to "smack goblins")
    10. Tootsie Roll Pop

....Guess which one she actually got. :P I have the feeling I was hustled.

Sounds like your DD has a bright future as a professional negotiator.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Seraph, we should put our children together in a room and see what they come up with.

Though I'd be afraid for the future of the entire world, if they did get together.

      Maybe we should hide them?

I know. It's scary, she's already figured out that as long as she asks for insane stuff first, I most likely will just settle for a tiny thing. -.-

Also, my husband totally thought you meant Designated Driver.

Whatever they come up with would probably make a helluva lot more sense than what we have now...

There would certainly be less goblins...

A dress made to resemble Spiderman's costume? That's the only thing I can think of.

My daughter has a wooden sword. We got it at the Medieval Times restaurant. She's named it Billy. (Don't ask). Now she wants a villain to fight. Where am I going to find one of those?

An old, full sized punching bag hung from the tree/playset would work, especially with some added art to make it look villain-y. You may be able to find one used in second-hand sports shops, or on craig's list. Or even a do-it-yourself jobbie.

On the various cubs, one of the game systems, either the Wii or the XBox Kinect has a "game" where you can interact with cute l'il wild animal cubs by waving your hands about. May be a good fit for the holidays, depending on finances.

...and what's so bad about smacking around goblins with a hammer? Works fine for my one-armed dwarven cleric!

OMG! I want cape socks! And I'm pretty sure my daughter would want a pair too. I'm putting this on our Christmas lists.
And you're welcome (in regards to my avatar).
