Boot question

We have a lot of boots on display at the store. I would like to get some of those wire inserts that make them stand up, so you can get an idea what they look like when you're wearing them. Are they easy to make? Anyone know?

The shops I've seen boots for sale in have either placed cardboard into the cylinder like Kay, or have scrunched up paper into balls and shoved it in there. Either one would do as long as it's not peeking out over the top of the boot.
