I used to come to CS a looong time ago. Never really posted much, but loved getting a chuckle out of all the familiar stories here. You see, I worked in retail. I hated it. Sure, you meet some nice fellow workers, but it's still customer service. Finally one day, I did what we all dream of doing. I walked out of my job, and spent two years doing nothing but pursuing my hobbies and passions. Oh, it was bliss. And I made a promise to myself: I would never work in customer service again.
Well, now the money's run out. And here I am about to start work at my local video store. Ringing people up. Answering questions. Getting yelled at by customers. Working a "flexible" schedule. Taking phone calls, etc., etc. I guess it just wasn't my time to transcend the world of customer service yet. That's for the fates to decide. I don't know.
But anyway, I look forward to ranting here and reading all of your rants!
