Phhhbbtt, get this... more on my department insanity

So apparently the GM of a hotel is leaving, and my direct manager is taking over, so that leaves the department head open. DORR opened the position to anyone in the company.

I have ten years in my industry in several different departments. I've been here three years. I've put up with so much crap from these people it isn't even funny. Plus all the girls in the department (except for the manager, its all women) know me and trust me. Plus I have ideas on ways to make more money and increase sales in the department.

I have an "interview" with my DORR tomorrow.

Can you tell how much I trust how this will go? Thing is, as much as they drive me batty, I'd be stupid not to try.

Oh and did I mention its for Supervisor and NOT Manager? Apparently DORR doesn't want any competition.

Hopefully it won't be too bad today. He must realise he needs someone in the role and the "devil" he knows is better than the one he doesn't.

Thanks. I'm trying to figure out a way to convince them to not only hire me, but give me to Manager title as well. The title is much more important than extra benefits or money.

Ok, so had my "interview". It was more just telling me what the job would entail, and me making an argument to get the manager title with the supervisor pay. DORR says he's going to talk to COO about the title, and let me know the decision at 3.
