Its about TIME. God, it drove me nuts how parents would assume bookstores/gamestores/etc were just like, free babysitting services.

I feel bad for the kid to have a egg donor like that. She may have given birth, but is no mother.

About frickin time. And thankfully, this is one of the few times where even the commenters agree with me!

I see only one problem with this story..it is actually giving me a little faith in humanity. Cause it is about dang time.

As a former pet store worker; I feel their pain so much. Far too many idiot parents see shops like pet stores, game shops etc as a free babysitting service. We even had to put in a sign saying our store was not a creche.

Far too many idiot parents think stores are free babysitters. I've worked at many places where kids got dumped (drug store, novelty store, pet store, etc.) by parents too cheap to pay for a babysitter. It's just wrong. The employees have enough to do without having to watch some stranger's kids, and if the kid disappears while the employee is serving a customer, you just know that will happen.

I'm glad this fool got arrested. Let's hope the word gets out.

Awesome! Parents doing crap like this is a never-ending problem for stores like these; had to call the police a couple times myself for kids left alone in our game stores. The parents never thought it was a 'big deal' Grrrrrr....

Yes, the employees (note not babysitters) and store will be the ones sued....with no insurance, license or training for this sort of thing.
