Had an English chap in my line today. He was tall and charming. He opened his mouth to speak and I did swoon, inwardly. *sigh*

What is it about accents? And he was good-looking, too.

Oooo. I have an ear for accents too. I often ask my customers where they're from. We've have a really varied customer base.
Add to that we just had a guy transfer to our store when he's in school. He's Nigerian. I love accents!
(Our store manager is Russian. It took me a few months to get used to her accent. Her hubby manages another store in the area and he'll call her and she'll lapse into rapid Russian. It's interesting to hear.)

I wish I had people with other accents, so I can stop myself from talking like a dang hillbillie all the time (my body does this weird thing that I pick up accents, but I can't do it on purpose).

                I love accents too =)

You should hear a couple of Romanians get into an argument. It is hard to believe the foul language they are using because it sounds so pretty

I love accents from the UK. I got a guy on the phone once who was from Wales, and he liked to chat! I was on the phone with him for an hour listening to his stories.

You should hear someone with a strong Cornish voice. That is one musical accent.

My fiancé is English. I know the feeling.
How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

I love Marm's accent *grins*. People say I have a 'southern accent' (people asked me all the time if I was from Texas when I was working that customer rep job on the phones). Me I don't hear it myself. I think it is just different sounding accents..most seem exotic.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I have a very proper English accent, and I keep getting compliments on how well I speak. And I love Welsh accents too - but ye gods, those people can talk!

I have a Russian and a Czech colleague, and we get students from pretty much every country - China was the latest. And I think it works the other way in the UK - I love hearing a US accent, because all the guys we get are so friendly!

Oh, Welsh accents are the best, almost musical. We lived there for 4 1/2 years, loved every minute of it.
