  • drive thru dumbass

I was working at the drive thru teller window one day by myself as someone hsad called out sick. We have three lanes but on this day closed our third lane. The red light on lane 3 was lit so customers could see that it was closed. I was backed up in two lanes when a woman pulled out of lane 2 into lane 3 because it was empty. I let her sit there for a while until she pushed the call button.

Me: ma'am, lane 3 is closed today

Customer: SHIT! I waited all that time and now I have to wait all over again. You're very rude to do that to me. You know what I am coming inside.

    So she comes inside.

Customer: that lady at the window refused to serve me. That's very rude.

Coworker: ma'am, she had the light turned off

Customer: I don't care if the light was off. She had no right to refuse me service. Where is your manager? get him up here right now.

    The manager comes up

Customer: I moved to lane 3 because there was a line backing up and when I did, the rude girl told me she wasnt going to help me in that lane.

    Manager: was the light on?

Customer: I dont care if the light was on. I should be able to go to any lane I choose to. In fact, I want her up here right now to issue an apology and I want everyone in the bank to see it so she will be humiliated for the cruel and vicious way she treated me.

Manager: no ma'am, she is working

Customer: either she comes up here or I'll go back there. I am not taking no for an answer here,

The manager said no and the woman demanded the name of his boss and closed her account then stuck her tongue out at the manager. On the way out, she accidentally knocked some brochures with her big butt and waddled out the door. As another customer was coming in, she said, "outta my GD way, four eyes"

Oh....my......I just can't imagine seeing something like this, not even in the lowest of places. What a horrid person. I can only hope that she has not taken her meds and therefore has a reason to be so crazy.
At least no one got in trouble for just doing their jobs!
    I no longer fear HELL.

Oh, forcing your way into an "Employees Only" area of a bank? Yyyyeeeeaah...okaaaay. Try that at your next bank, Ma'am, and let us know how that works out for you.

        "I'm gonna close my account!"

Oooh, what a horrible threat. Take your $300 checking account somewhere else. We don't want an abusive asshat like you at our bank.

Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

Another miserable person trying to spread her bad mood around. What the heck is wrong with people like that?

o yeah. i can just see how that would go down.

that's probably why she closed her account instead cos... at least one brain cell fired off to tell her "shhhh that'll get you arrested!".

Manager: So, you want to close your account because you drove into a lane that was obviously closed and are now pissed at someone who told you it was closed and I won't let you humiliate her because you're in the wrong? Did I get that right? Thought so.

Sad thing is, the next bank that has to put up with her will have the exact same problem because she will go to a drive thru lane that is closed and then she'll close her account and go to another bank.
As for her trying to force you to apologize, you should've told your boss you would do it, and then say to her, "Maam, I'm sorry.... sorry that you're such a bitch!" Not really, but woulda been very tempting to do so.

If shes does this more than a few times she will get flagged and then have one hell of a times opening an account anywhere. So... Im kinda hoping she does.

Au contraire. Unless there is some law there that applies to this sort of thing, most businesses in general have the right to refuse service to ANYONE, if they believe they have reason to do so.

My questions are; "Why don't we know when businesses do this, and why aren't more businesses doing it?" The answer to the second question is, the almighty dollar.

If a biz gets (bad) press due to constantly turning customers away, potential customers can think, "ew, they're too picky. Why would I want to shop there?", without knowing the real reason that the business provides.
