  • mod question - deleting your own posts/threads

I notice when I go to delete my own post or threads there's that little box I can fill out that explains why it's being deleted.

I understand why it's there - in case a mod makes changes he or she can explain why.

What I'm curious about is... if we delete our own stuff and fill that box out, does anyone ever read the message? Or see it?

or is it one of those things where you can read it but don't usually bother (esp when people are deleting their own stuff)?

When a member deletes their own thread or post, it is only "soft-deleted" meaning its still there but only visible to mods/admins. If you put a reason in the box we will see it.
