  • Going to take away what we don't have!

Got a vaguely threatening letter from the Port today, which runs the airport among other things. Apparently our "License to Operate" (LTO) as a ground transportation service operator at the airport is out of compliance. And this notice is our final notice and we've been warned before and that failure to initiate our LTO process may result in further action by the Port!

Except...we aren't a ground transpo service operator. We don't run a shuttle to the airport, or have any sort of affiliation with the airport at all. Nor do we plan on running a shuttle in the future. Our guests are happy to just take a cab or use the "Wiki Wiki Park 'n Shuttle" across from the airport (I just love the name of that place! Tee hee!).

Kinda hard to care about threats to our LTO when we never had one in the first place and don't really want to have one...

Er, what sanctions can they impose if you do?

Have you informed them of their incompetence?

Maybe this is their unsubtle way of saying you NEED a shuttle service?

I'm wondering if this isn't a scam. Send a threatening letter demanding fees for "noncompliance", see if anyone bites. Was the letter from the airport itself or was it from a third party "authority".

No, it was legit from the port. Boss Lady was able to call them and they sorted out their error so they shouldn't bug us anymore.
