So today I get a phone call....
(refreneces to other people by Sc are others in the room that she is in at home)
Me: Opening....
SC: I would like to order a cake. You see, I talked to, um, honey, who did i talk to, ...., yes Mr. <GM> and he said that since we submitted a letter requesting a donation he would give us a discount.
Me; I have not received any official notification of the discount. Do you want me to check with the MOD?
SC: Please.
Me: OK. Please hold. *I check w/MOD and yes we are giving a discount, though he doesn't know the amount off the top of his head.*
Me: *to SC* I checked, and the manager on duty, Mr. <MOD>, and he said you would get a discount but he did not know the exact amount.
SC: Ok. I would like to order a 1/4 sheet cake.
Me: *pulls out order book, and fills in proper field* Ok, do you want that in....
SC: Honey, do you think I should get a 1/4 sheet or a bigger cake. Actually I will get a 1/2 sheet.
Me: Ok, a half sheet it is. *changes order*
well, it went like this for every option I asked, flavor, frosting, decoration, etc.
About 8 min. later I finally get off the phone. 15 minutes later, the phone rings.
Me: opening
SC: Hi, I called earlier about a cake and Ihave a question.
Me: Ok. *look at at order*
SC: what flavor did I order
Me: yellow
SC: Ok. Honey, is yellow OK? ..... Yellow will be fine.
Me: Ok, will that be all?
SC: Yes.
Me: Ok. Bye.
About five minutes later SC calls again to ask a silimar question to call to, only to reference others in the room, never changed anything. I even re-read the order to her to confirm.
About 15 minutes later, SC calls, repeat phone call two and three with a different item.
About 30 min. later SC calls. Now she changes the order. The simple process to change what she wanted written takes her about 5 minutes to communicate.
Repeat several times, changing each item at least once.
On the last call I took from SC before I left we go thru the whole ask everyone in the room what they want to change, again. I get this gem, before she hangs up
SC: *in the most serious tone she could get* I know you have nothing better to do so this hasn't bothered you. *CLICK*
No, really, I have spent AT LEAST a half hour in the phone with you repeating the same stuff over while you ask everyone around you what they think. No that doesn't bother me at all. Now at I have to rush to finish everything I need to do. Thanks.
