I arrived at work just before 5 p.m. today, intending to buy a few groceries in the half-hour before I had to start work.
There was just one little blip.
I was scheduled to start at 4:30, not 5:30.
I write my hours on a big wall calendar at home ... and I had been looking at last week's schedule, rather than this week's.
I think the look of shocked disbelief on my face, when my supervisor told me that yes, it was indeed Aug. 21, convinced her that I wasn't shamming.
Possibly senile, but not shamming.
