Doing the dishes
Chuck grew tired of his wife making him wash the dishes every night. So rather than scrub the entire sink of dirty, greasy dishes, he began to throw every third one away.
One night his wife found out what he'd been doing. "Charles, what are all these dirty dishes doing in the garbage can?"
Chuck thought up an answer fast. "Ummm, I don't quite know how to tell you this, but I have a rare, strange disease. I didn't want you eating off the same dishes I do, so I've been throwing out all my dirty dishes to keep you healthy, sweetie. I didn't tell you because I didn't want to worry you."
"That's ridiculous. If I'd ever catch a disease from you, it would be while we were canoodling."
"Oh no," Chuck replied. "The brown paper bag I put over your head when we do that keeps you safe."
