Default "Well I'll Steal It Anyway."

Background: At Mom's art gallery, someone had left behind a twin pack of printer ink from "Hayche-Pee". It was sitting around before one of the other artists got fed up and posted a note that it was free. Mom knows that I like to sell things on ebay, so she took it home. Rather than listing it, I decided to wait since this weekend was the family yard sale; where mom, dad and several of my cousins gather all our stuff into one HUGE sale. I had priced the ink at $1. It was near to the road with the rest of my things.

</background>

Around 1, when I was being distracted by pizza and the world's most adorable 3 year old customer, Fucking Reject (FR for short) walks up to my cousin Bella, who was at her toy table next to mine. Bella is 9 years old.

FR: "50 cents for one ink."

B: "No, that's my cousin ralerin's ink. She says it's $1."

FR: "No, I want one. 50 cents or I'll take it anyway."

B: "No, it's $1."

FR: "Well then. *rips box open, grabs the ink cartridge and is in his car in a flash.*

Unfortunately for FR, he failed to notice that the ink was manufactured in 2007 and had been sitting in the art gallery for several years. Moron stole a most likely dry ink cartridge.

Wow. I've had a lot of garage sales over the years. I've had people haggle over prices in totally ridiculous ways (I'll give you a dollar for that thing you have fifty dollars on), I've had people steal stuff (which in my mind is pretty low, as just about anyone who has a garage sale does it cause they could use the money, otherwise they'd just take it all to a charity if they don't want it).

But I have never had anyone flat out tell me that if I didn't take what they offered they'd steal it! Wow. Now I think I'll be sure to have my phone on me at all times, anyone ever says that and I'll just aim at their car and say "just took a photo of your license plate, go ahead".

Just when I think I've heard it all...... people sink to a brand new low.

What an ass; I would have called the police with his plate number; theft is still theft.

Even if the cartridge was still usable, his printer might have refused to recognize it (those printers can be very picky about ink; I've had ours refuse to even see a non-expired cartridge that hadn't really been used, just opened).

My dad's development is having a community yard sale when I'll be out there. I should have some tales afterwards...

What is this I don't even...

And why bother actually unpackaging it before stealing it? Surely it would have been easier to just take off with it whole?!
