Default Ignoring no parking

This actually happened at work.

So, bit of background: we don't have a porte cochere or any sort of loading spot in front of our lobby. In fact, the area right in front of our lobby is no parking. You have the building, a narrow driveway, and the pool pump house, so there's just no room. Some people will pull all the way over, and if they do, another car might be able to squeeze by, but generally this doesn't work either. It's marked "No Parking" on both sides, and guests need to find an actual parking spot.

It is also a one-way loop around the building. So if someone is blocking in front of the lobby, cars behind them either have to wait, or go the wrong-way around the building.

I was off, but we were having an employee appreciation day potluck, so I came in with foodstuffs and someone to work the grill (Hubby). I wanted to go around the building to park behind the office so I could be close to the break room door. However, some big pick-up was blocking in front of the lobby. They didn't even attempt to pull off to the side; they were just stopped right smack in the middle.

So I waited. After a while, I gave a short honk. I hate honking, but there was no one around that I could see. Then, I called CW, and told them the guests needed to move. She said the guests were just heading out now. At this point, there was a car behind me waiting, so I couldn't even go the wrong-way around. I saw a woman leave the lobby area. I gave another short honk. The woman looked at me, and then turned and went into the vending area. I got out of the car and went into the office. CW indicated that the drivers were in the vending area.

I go to the vending area, and see the woman who I just saw along with who I presume was your husband hemming and hawing over the snack machine.

Me: "Is that your vehicle out there?"
SC: "Yeah."
Me: "'Cause you know, no one can get around you."
SC: "Oh, I had no idea!"

They moved it immediately, but really? You had to have heard me, and I know that woman saw me because we made eye contact when she left the lobby to go look at snacks!

Bonus: Big truck is scared of little plate

There's some construction (sewer work) going on at the end of our driveway. They have a hose covered by a metal plate.

As I was leaving, a 4X4 truck was ahead of us. They crept up to the plate, got halfway up, and then stopped. Then, they backed up, way up, and realigned themselves. Then, they sped up at it. They weren't going super-fast, but for some reason they felt they needed a head start. They again got halfway over and just...froze. Slowly, they finished crawling over it.

I just drove over it in my tiny 2-wheel sedan (with much less ground clearance) without any issue, though I noticed that when they hit it at-speed a second time, they shifted it so it was now a bit wobbly. Still nothing to freak out over...the bump wasn't any bigger than a standard speed bump!

If wishing Sir Arga of Barga was around to swoop in and tow off all offending bad parkers is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.
