This is part one of the story. The other part can be found here in sightings. My pet peeve: line cutters.
So by my home they recently added a new light at the intersection of "main road" and "curvy small road." The light is really only for afternoons, because there's a town and 3 schools up the road, but they keep it on in the morning as well which causes backup. They decided to try and ease that by turning the right turn only lane at the light before new light, into a right and left turn lane, which causes even more trouble because now there's issues with merging. So I'm sitting on the bridge (in-between the two lights) and I'm very close to the end of the bridge (the merge lane ended at least 400 feet back) and some asshole suddenly comes zooming up the shoulder. He plans to squeeze his way in. Worst part is he had already merged, and decided to pull back out of line. What do I do? Move my car over and block him of course. It then turns into a swerving you can't get by me battle. I know, it was bitchy of me, but I hate hate hate line cutters.
So we finally reach the part of the road where there's no shoulder and I feel great. He starts tossing trash out of his car trying to hit me. Doesn't work too well when I'm in front of him. So about 5 miles up the road we come to a point where it goes from one lane to two. He pulls onto the other side of the road and cuts me off as I head for the left lane. Whatever, woopdedo, you'll get there 2 seconds sooner. Then, we get stopped at light #1. Light #2 is about 300 feet up. Green, and zoom, he takes off going down the wrong side of the road, cuts back over at light #2, guy he cuts off slams into the front right side of his car (it looked like he was trying to cut through 2 lanes of traffic or something) and the car he swerved to avoid when he was on the wrong side of the road slams into the back left side of his car.
Hell yeah I pulled over and acted as a witness. He started trying to cuss me out and blame the whole thing on me, until I pointed out a camera right there at light #2 where this happened. Apparently he was heading to laser tag. Who plays laser tag at 8 in the morning?
