The first time that I went to Origins (big gaming con), a gaming company paid my fee & hotel. In return I ran demo games for them. There was one individual that when I ran a solo game, the company owner thanked me 'for taking one for the team'. When this person sat down I was profoundly thankful that the seat chosen was not right next to me. It was bad enough walking side by side to the gaming room; at least the moving air helped diffuse the aroma. [goes looking for a gas cloud emoticon]

After a local gaming convention I jokingly suggested they get sponsorship from a deodorant company and include a free deodorant in the attendee pack. It didn't happen despite the organisers' very enthusiastic attempts.

(I only had to put up with the funk for a couple of hours at a time, the volunteers had to for pretty much 2 days straight)
