So I can transfer out by my 25th birthday (I'm 23 now)
I was on a year dismissal because a teacher told me I had a C but put "D" in the records and I couldn't fight it (and my previous academic history was bad due to me struggling from personal issues and my inability to separate them with school) This was in 2012
I reapplied for Winter/Spring 2014 but ended up not registering because I was working. Went to reapply today, was told I have to do it online and whoever did it last semester should have been fired. (Yep. Was told that. ._.
I'm going to retake the assessment for English and Math...and Math is making me shake in my boots. I admittedly struggle with basic algebra, and I have 3 weeks to at least improve it to a point I will only have to take one class before I can go into statistics, a college-transferable math class.
Luckily my cousin and friends are helping me.
However, now I know what I want to do, finding the college for me to transfer to is becoming a pain...I'm doing a double major. Just not sure if I want it to be Japanese + Linguistics or Japanese + Asian Studies
Two people are shooting me down for these majors, although one admits if anyone could succeed with it, it'd be me. I intend to be an interpreter, but I keep getting pushed to go after something I don't believe I have the talent or stomach for. (Majority of my family is in medical field...specifically the baby business. Midwives, OBGYN, Fertility Specialists, etc. ) I find it an interesting field, but someone who faints at needles probably doesn't have the heart for it.
I dunno why I made this post so long, but I was hoping to see what people's thoughts are about my majors? Is it really THAT useless to try to become an interpreter? I dunno if I am getting disheartened or angry, but its something I dreamed about since I was 12.
