No, no news at this point, really. I had a week's vacation (just got back today) and nobody seemed glad to have me back.
My coworkers left me a pile of work that they didn't do, because nobody can make decisions when I'm not here, apparently.
I still have 3 weeks left before Goodhair's 60-day review period is done. I've got training in 2 weeks. I'm just going to hold on until that time is done.
I haven't been stressing the job search too much, because of what's been going on with my hubby's work situation. Hopefully I'll have time soon to post an update to that thread, which will explain why I've been slacking on the job search."I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. Promotion, I guess
Well, that went about as I expected. I had my 60-day review with Goodhair today. He gave me a proper title and a 10% raise. I wanted double that, but I wasn't going to push it with my hubby interviewing out of state. I asked about lending limits, and Goodhair said he'd get that on the agenda for next month's board of directors meeting.
So that's about what I expected. Goodhair wants to keep me around so I can keep doing his work for him. Plus he has no interest in doing consumer loans.
I'm hoping Hubby's interview today goes well. Then I can put the house on the market. As soon as we get a solid offer, I can turn in my notice.

We're still waiting to hear back from the two places Hubby applied. They're both supposed to be making their decisions this week.
Meanwhile, I'm still processing loans for Goodhair, in addition to my own work. Today, he asked me to start processing a loan for a buddy of his who works at the local casino. "We've got to keep the head chef happy!" The customer and his wife both have excellent income and terrible credit. Based on their credit scores alone, this loan will have to be classified as sub-prime. But Goodhair had some lousy excuse for why the customers' credit scores were so horrible, and he approved the loan anyway. I just have to make sure my name isn't attached to this loan in any way.
On the other hand, now that I have the title and lending limits, I can approve loans on my own. I did my first loan with me as the loan officer this week.
