    Doesn't San Diego number from the ocean East and from Imperial North and South? And of course, any town with any character is going to have exceptions and differences Even the place I'm whining about does. Still, it is often a good rule of thumb.

    I thought Chicago had a nice mix of efficiency and quirkiness. To see the wrong end of the spectrum, we just have to look to our nation's capitol.
