That's what he meant, and that's what's happened. Her name is on the account as far as I'm aware, but not on the checks themselves, if that makes any sense.

My credit union account is like that. When I opened it I was out of state and there was a branch in the building my parents worked in, so it was easier to have my mom be able to access the account if necessary (usually just to deposit checks that I would send to her). So her name is on the account but only my name is printed on the checks. Technically she can write a check but I don't know if a store would accept it since her name isn't printed.

Ugh. He's a sleaze, she's a harpy. They deserve each other, but shouldn't be dragging other people into their mess. Can't we just forcibly sterilize both of them and dump them on some desert island somewhere?

If the computer is marital property then she has every right to take it to the police if she thinks she can point out evidence of a crime. If its say her husbands work computer then she has some issues about how she knows whats on the computer.

She probably took the computer to the police hoping they would fish around and find something she could use in her divorce. They probably won't do anything.

Lovely marriage, and I'd say money motivates this bitch to not walk out.

If the wife suspects there's badness on the computer,,,
Yes, I'm with FNI. I might have to add a checkbox on the "student laptop intake form" for this.

I've been fighting the impulse to tell all the students whose "little brothers" downloaded "some kinda porn virus", "oh, it's the 'Bad Wolf' virus. That's *really expensive* to fix".

If he's still walking around town with short shorts and nothing to restrain his parts, he can no longer claim innocence of the risk of exposing himself.

I, at least, would claim that from here on, it counts as either deliberate, or negligent.
                Seshat's self-help guide:
                1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
                2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
                3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
                4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
