Mother and young child come to my line. I ring through their groceries and pack them up.
Then, as they're walking away,
Young child: "MOM ARE WE GOING TO THE WINERY NOW?"
Mom looked like she was hoping the floor would open and swallow her ... but then she did start laughing. And so did I.
(This is where I should add that we have a small winery section in our store. You pay for your purchases there and not through the store's cashiers.)
