Good news, losing a few weeks of fear and pain is a small price to pay, maybe even a blessing.
The important thing is that he got through it all with minimal damage. It must have been a horrible time for his friends and family.

I'm terribly late on this, but I'm glad to hear your friend is doing better.

Let's hope it continues and the doctors are able to figure out what caused the issue(s.)
