Hi everyone, new to the site. Just thought I'd share my favorite story of SC.
Years ago, I worked at an amusement park. After doing a double shift and dealing with idiots all day, I was done. We had to clock out in our area and walk forever up to the front of the park in uniform. In my opinion, if I'm not getting paid, I'm not working. I was almost to the exit area when I heard a man yelling 'hey'. I tried to walk faster and ignore him, but no. He walked up to me and grabbed my arm.
Hell to the no. Do not touch me.
When he grabbed me, he looked like he wanted to hit me. He snarled, "Hey, I was talking to you!" I wrenched my arm away and said the first thing that came to mind.
"I'm sorry sir, I didn't hear you." Of course, when you emulate the speech patterns of a deaf person and do ASL while you say it.... He just walked away. It was un-PC of me, and yet still one of my proudest moments.
BTW, love the website.
