Hey, first time poster... LONG time lurker, visit this place everyday.
Anyways, a little back ground, I work for a large fast food corporation, as a manager. It has it's good days, and plenty of bad ones.
Just yesterday, when I was working, we got an e-mail from head office for a mass recall of all of our tomatoes. We were to throw them out immediately, and inform customers that we had no tomatoes. It was an FDA recall for all tomatoes that came from the US that were sent anywhere in North America for My Company.
The night went fairly uneventful, most people, when told that "I'm sorry, but we have no tomatoes today" either said " That's fine" or "Okay, I'll take *blank* instead"
Right around 10pm, when the closing staff were almost ready to leave, one guy comes through Drive through, and was told that we had no tomatoes, and said "Well, I'll only take that sandwich then if you'll give it to me for free". He was told "I'm sorry, we can't do that, would you like something else?" Huffed, and went "Ugh, fine I'll get *blank*"
This is the first time it's happened to me, and I'm still rolling my eyes at it. From what I've read, this sort of thing is quite normal, but I felt like I had to share my piece.
Thanks for reading!
