The changes regarding Visitor parking & the other parking areas at the university I work at as a contract parking attendant should help alleviate the parking problems when Visitor parking is closed for an event.
A second level will be added to the Visitor parking garage. The first level of the faculty/staff garage will be used for Visitors only until the second level is completed. There will be an access gate at the 2nd level of that garage, & you will have to have a faculty/staff access card to park on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th level.
The university will purchase the metered lot across the street from the Visitor parking garage from the city.
Change is not easy, but hopefully I will not have to deal with upset, difficult, and angry customers too much once the 2nd level is complete.
