I had a customer call in to see about converting his local move to a long distance move. I ran a quote and advised him it would cost him approximately four thousand dollars.
The guy hit the roof. He advised he had gotten a quote for under three grand. I look it up. He had gotten it several months ago. I advised him that our quotes are only good for seven days. He started demanding a manager. I did try to discount as much as I could, even getting a supervisor. We couldn't go as low as what we had done before.
In the meantime, the jerk in question is going on about bait and switch, and how he has a friend high up in the company. I finally ended up giving it to the department above me.
If you have a friend in management, then why didn't you have them hook you up?
This guy was an EW and a SC to the max.
