I absolutely hate to be rushed while shopping ... I like to compare fruits and veggies, maybe randomly wander down an aisle to see if something strikes my fancy for a meal in the future, or a new and interesting ingredient I have never tried before. I actually will go with my roomie to the hindi grocery down in Groton CT as they have a smallish store, and they have no problems wandering around with us of they are not busy explaining the unusual ingredients and suggesting recipes. I learned the recipe for the brown glop dip that the restaurants serve with the papadums, and which brand of papadums we prefer [asfoetida and black pepper are better than the garlic ones] so now I can actually make quite a good butter chicken/butter tofu, and some of the fun desserts =)
