We have a protection plan on our phones that does not cover accidental damage. If you admit to dropping your phone you are out of luck. Drop your phone and it dies, that really sucks but it's not our problem.
A guy today called using the F bomb on me 4 times in a minute long phone call about how no one will ever call him back and he needs help with his phone.
Me: do you know what's wrong with your phone?
jerk: I fucking dropped it and now nothing works
me: you physically damaged your phone, you dropped it?
jerk: yes and now it won't work so I want you guys to fix it
I took his name and number and warned the guys who work in that department that he had admitted it and to have him admit it again once they have his file open to say he damaged it himself
If the guy had been nicer we could have directed him to a cheap place in town to have the glass fixed for $50 (the led was intact) but because he decided to tell me how useless our service was, you know while I was trying to help him that we told him there was nothing we could do. So sorry.
