Hominy?

Back when I was a teenager, I stayed with my bestie at her grandparents' place....A LOT. It was there that I saw homemade hominy for the very first time. I had eaten commercially canned hominy many times before, but there was nothing like homemade. It was then that I found my love for that 'veggie'. To this day, I crave a bowl of salted hominy kernels.
