Ok, as some of you might recall from a previous thread i posted entitled Do you not get the hint by now, I work in the backroom Tuesdays and Wed to help the ICC clerk. Well, tomorrow is Inventory and right as i stepped in the door i was asked to clock in by ICC management and help get the backroom ready for delivery. No problem. More money for me on my check. Well before i could even start prepping the area for inventory it had to be cleaned. REAL BAD. So I got to cleaning and getting stuff halfway decent so i could have room to work in. Well the checkers up front kept calling me, calling me, and calling me. It turned out the one that is supposed to be opener wasn't answering the calls so it fell onto me. And being as management wasn't really there at the time I had to answer the calls because technically I'm still "low man" on the hiearchy. (I'm one step above courtesies).
So basically the backroom is STILL not ready for inventory and when management did come i explained it to them and they said continue doing what you are doing in the backroom. If worse comes to worse we can 'hide' some of the excess stuff somewhere until inventory is completed and then put the stuff back in the backroom. In the longrun it will help us out because you aren't supposed to have any more or any less than the number of product on your spreadsheet. A little bit above is fine as long as its not too much. (they are concerned with theft if its too much over and if its under, then they assume theft has taken place.
So now I am just off work typing this on my laptop. I just hope that we get a halfway decent score on our inventory given all the work and interruptions i had to put up with all damn day.
