Today, a customer called wanting to know if we had a certain formula. When I was able to leave the service desk, I got one of each type of can and brought it up to the service desk.
It turned out that we didn't have the exact kind or size she wanted but we had the brand. She started getting angry and even mentioned that the General Merchandise Manager never returned her call. I think she would've if the item came in. The customer believed that the employees weren't doing their job properly.
The assistant store director told me to tell the customer to call back in the morning which I did. The customer wasn't accepting that so I told her that I would get a manager right then. My service desk coworker tried to catch the assistant store director before she left and was too late. She even talked to the customer on the phone and later mentioned to the assistant store director on the phone that the customer was nasty.
